InSet™ Total Shoulder Arthroplasty

The InSet™ Shoulder System was born out of a simple yet critical question: Could we create a glenoid implant that lasts longer and performs better across a wider range of patients?
Glenoid loosening remains the leading cause of failure in Total Shoulder Arthroplasty (TSA). Traditional glenoid designs often sit on the bone surface, possibly leading to instability and progressive loosening over time. The InSet™ Glenoid was designed specifically to address this challenge by focusing on mechanical stability and long-term durability.
The InSet™ Glenoid employs a novel design that positions the implant within a pocket of sclerotic bone, a technique that has been shown to significantly reduce mechanical stress at the bone-implant interface. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) demonstrates an 87% reduction in “rocking horse” stresses—recognized as a primary contributor to implant loosening. This innovative approach not only addresses the structural limitations of traditional implants but also offers surgeons a reliable and reproducible solution for enhancing implant longevity.
Supported by a growing body of peer-reviewed studies, the InSet™ Glenoid has proven effective across a variety of clinical indications, including cases involving advanced arthritis and severe bone loss. These outcomes are validated by both scientific data and real-world clinical experience, confirming its versatility as an everyday-use glenoid where anatomic glenoids are indicated.
By prioritizing implant stability and addressing a key cause of failure in TSA, the InSet™ Glenoid provides surgeons with a proven and practical tool for improving patient outcomes. Its design reflects Shoulder Innovations’ commitment to advancing arthroplasty techniques through evidence-based solutions.
InSet™ Glenoid
Designed to sit within a rim of sclerotic bone, addressing Glenoid Loosening with 87% reduced implant displacement.
Features 5 implant diameter sizes in two thicknesses to address a wide variety of glenoid sizes.
InSet™ PLUS Augmented Glenoid
Designed to correct defects at the articular surface with 5 or 10 degree options.
Flat-back design ensures 100% backside coverage.
Uses standard surgical technique, enabling correction post-reaming with no added preparation while reducing lift-off and displacement.
Stemless
Same benefits as short stem with less bone removal and the highest level of intra-op implant flexibility.
Full Ti porous coating.
Tested fixation: 23% greater axial pullout strength and 21% greater torque-out strength than a leading linear finned stemless implant1.
Short Stem
Low profile no collar on stem to maximize osteotomy loading on humeral head.
Proprietary porous coated curved fins designed to maximize rotational stability and fixation while preserving bone.
Can support a wide range of Subscapularis repair techniques.
InSet™ 95
2-fin design for rotational control.
Robust fixation aggressive proximal coating for proximal fixation along with strong metadiaphyseal fixation.
Slotted suture holes and fins.
Designed for patients with poor bone in mind.
